No real money or crypto-assets are accepted or held.
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Vela uses. We keep them to the minimum needed to run a secure exchange.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. They let a website recognise your device between requests.
2. Cookies we use
- vela_session — strictly necessary. Keeps you signed in and protects against session hijacking. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Expires after 14 days or when you log out.
- Browser storage — strictly necessary. Remembers interface choices such as your display currency on your own device.
We do not use advertising, cross-site tracking or third-party analytics cookies.
3. Third-party content
Coin logos are loaded from CoinGecko and live prices are streamed from Coinbase. These providers may receive your IP address as part of a normal web request but do not set cookies through Vela.
4. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will prevent you from signing in.
