Risk Disclosure

Last updated 28 September 2026

DemoVela is a demonstration project. Vela Digital AG is a fictitious company used for demo purposes only: it is not entered in the Swiss commercial register, is not authorised or supervised by FINMA, is not a member of any self-regulatory organisation, and is not affiliated with Office Club or any business at the address shown. No real money or crypto-assets are accepted or held.

Crypto-assets carry significant risks. Please read this disclosure carefully and only invest money you can afford to lose entirely.

1. Price volatility

Prices of crypto-assets can rise or fall sharply within minutes. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. You may lose some or all of the value you convert.

2. No deposit protection

Crypto-assets are not legal tender, are not backed by a central bank or government and are not covered by esisuisse or any other deposit or investor protection scheme.

3. Liquidity

In stressed markets it may be difficult or impossible to sell an asset at the displayed price. Quotes may move between the moment you see them and execution.

4. Technology and cyber risk

Blockchains, wallets and exchanges can be affected by software bugs, network congestion, forks, hacks and phishing. Transactions on a blockchain are generally irreversible.

5. Stablecoins

Stablecoins aim to track a fiat currency but can lose their peg. Their value depends on the reserves and solvency of the issuer.

6. Legal and regulatory change

Laws and tax rules applying to crypto-assets are evolving and may change in ways that affect their value, transferability or our ability to offer them.

7. Taxes

You are responsible for declaring and paying any taxes on your holdings and gains. In Switzerland, private individuals generally declare crypto-assets as wealth; please consult a tax adviser.

8. No advice

Vela executes your instructions only. Nothing on the Services is investment, financial, tax or legal advice.
